"Vivid red. Spice-accented red berries, candied flowers, beet and exotic spices on the fragrant nose. A spine of juicy acidity supports lively red currant, bitter cherry and rose pastille flavors, and a minerally nuance emerges with air. Shows fine detail and a hint of tangy orange pith on the persistent finish, which is framed by fine-grained tannins. 20% new French oak." (VM)

"All from sites in the San Luis Obispo region, the 2018 Bishop's Peak Pinot Noir sports a translucent ruby color as well as pretty notes of spiced cherries, pepper, forest floor, and earth. Tasting like a solid Côte du Nuits, it's medium-bodied, elegant, and balanced on the palate." (JD)
