"Pale to medium ruby, the 2018 Pinot Noir Sea Field Vineyard opens to delicate aromas of raspberries, red berries, rose petals, woodsmoke and graphite. The light to medium-bodied palate offers nuanced flavor layers in a bright, grainy frame with a long, lifted finish. 900 cases produced." (WA)

"The 2018 Pinot Noir Sea Field is not fully expressive today. The bouquet is promising, but the 2018 is much less forthcoming on the palate. It will be interesting to see if time in bottle helps things come together more fully, as the 2018 is pretty hard to read at this stage. Even so, it does appear to be rather light in structure and depth. " (VM)

"An extremely aromatic pinot with iodine undertones to the bright strawberry aromas and flavors. Some seaweed. It’s medium-to full-bodied with creamy tannins and an extremely long finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Better after 2023." (JS)

Winery Notes:
Going forward, our 4.8 acre Home Field bottling will be known as Sea Field. A more fitting name as this beautiful site is in fact an ancient sea field of diverse marine soils broken down from bedrock dating back between 66 and 200 million years. Situated less than 2 miles from the Pacific Ocean with an elevation of 1500 feet, Sea Field Vineyard produces our most elegant wines year in and year out. Rose petals, blood orange pith, crushed raspberry, wild strawberry, and wet rock bordering the forest fill the bowl. White tea, sea moss, rhubarb, savory herbs, forest berries, and floral tones linger on your palate with a long and seemingly everlasting finish.
