"Appealingly up front, floral and juicy, with peppery white flower notes to the apple, melon and citrus flavors, finishing with a touch of apple skin. Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier and Picpoul Blanc. Drink now. 1,688 cases made. -MW" (WS)

"The 2018 M5 White Margerum Estate Vineyard, a blend of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier and Picpoul Blanc, is another gorgeous wine in this range from Doug Margerum. Beautifully layered in the glass, with striking nuance, the 2018 has so much to offer. Bright citrus, orchard fruit and floral notes all meld together in this gracious, delicious white that captures all of the tension and brightness that is such a signature here." (VM)

"Employing all five of the white Rhône varieties in a lively mix, Margerum's M5 is a bright and briskly balanced middleweight that inclines to citrusy freshness and is redolent of sweet limes and blossoms. Its pert, palate-cleansing demeanor makes it especially well-suited to a wide range of shellfish, and, while far from heavy, it has more than enough character to stand up to garlic-infused dishes such as a classic Provençal Bouillabaisse. Reviewed: March 2020" (CG)

"Last of the whites, the 2018 M5 White checks in as a blend of mostly Grenache Blanc and Roussanne, with smaller amounts of Viognier, Marsanne, and Picpoul Blanc. Its light gold color is followed by notes of ripe lemons, tart pineapple, spice, and white flowers. It's elegant, medium-bodied, beautifully balanced, and offers some serious quality for not much buck." (JD)

"Pleasantly restrained aromas of Meyer lemon pith, light nectarine and fresh honeysuckle show on the nose of this blend of 60% Roussanne, 20% Marsanne, 10% Grenache Blanc, 9% Viognier and 1% Picpoul Blanc. It's tightly wound on the palate, where white rocks provide a mineral backbone to the flavors of yellow and green apple, light mango and pineapple. Matt Kettmann" (WE)

Winery Notes:
Our M5 White is similar to a White Rhône blend like Châteauneuf-du-Pape. M is for Margerum, 5 is for 5 grapes. It has rich with complex flavors, a long finish. You will see a slight straw and golden hues with a viscosity that clings to the glass as it is swirled. M5 White has a full, round and pleasing with ample acidity to balance the richness that will continue to evolve with time in bottle.

*A unique blend of Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier and Picpoul

*Apricots, white floral, sweet honey, hints of brioche toast, sweet pea flowers and pineapple.

*Flavors of apple, wet stone and a touch of peach nectar engage with a lovely long persistent finish that lingers. Aged in mostly neutral barrels and puncheons and a few new barrels
