"Whereas the other bottling from this producer has all the hallmarks of a blockbuster style, this Barbera d’Asti couldn’t be more different. It trades in vibrant, lightly fragrant morello cherries and raspberries. It’s soft and round, but with zesty acidity and ends zippy and citrusy. Drink now." (JS)

"Fragrant and fresh, this has classic varietal aromas of dark-skinned berry, baking spice and blue flower. On the savory palate, bright acidity and smooth tannins accompany flavors of Marasca cherry, raspberry and white pepper. Enjoy through 2023. -Kerin O’Keefe " (WE)

Winery Notes:
Barbera is a grape varietal indigenous to Piedmont and it’s one of the most important ones from this region. Valmorena is our most authentic and traditional interpretation of Barbera wine. Thanks to the vinification and maturation carried out in stainless steel vats and partially in oak casks, Valmorena preserves all the natural freshness and fruitiness of the varietal, showing at the same time great depth and persistence.
