"A vibrant mix of pineapple, mango and citrus flavors on a smooth, medium body, with plenty of vibrant acidity. Appealing details of orange zest and green apple skin add complexity. Drink now. 5,000 cases imported. -MW " (WS)

"The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc shows restrained aromas of fig and melon on the nose, followed by ripe notes of nectarine on the palate. It's medium to full-bodied and richly textured, with a long, silky finish. It may age a bit better than some other classic Marlborough Sauvignons, but don't hold it beyond about 2021.

Despite challenging vintage conditions in 2017 and 2018, the current lineup at Greywacke is undeniably successful. "Eighteen ended up being the better of the two," said owner-winemaker Kevin Judd during my January visit. "But they were both hard work." Judd said 2018 combined the warmest vintage on record with record precipitation in February. He seems equally comfortable with Riesling and Pinot Gris as he is with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, using wood for portions of their élevage, just as in the Burgundy varieties. For Riesling, Judd said, "The oak is just to get some evolution—it lets the sulfides [most of the wines here are fermented with indigenous yeasts] become less stinky." Don't overlook the terrific series of botrytis wines!" (WA)

"This youthful sauvignon has attractive lime-leaf and fresh-herb aromas with passion fruit and a succulent, fine and fresh lime finish. Immediate enjoyment here." (JS)

"This vintage delivers appealing aromas of stone fruit, honeysuckle and wet stone, with only the slightest vegetal tone. There's a lovely play between the creamy texture and crunchy acidity on the palate, highlighting flavors of orchard fruit, salt and snow pea. It finishes long, with stony minerality. Winery Notes:
An aromatic salsa-like fusion of ripe summer fruit and fragrant Asian spices. Nectarines and yellow peaches, rockmelon, grapefruit and a splash of passionfruit-mingled with ginger and lemongrass, jasmine flowers and cassis. A deliciously ripe and zesty Marlborough Sauvignon with a lemony, citrus thread that finishes crisp and dry.
