"The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot 1er Cru has a pretty bouquet with more personality than the Les Chaumées: orange blossom mixed with pear and light waxy aromas. The palate is lightly spiced on the entry, the concentration countered by a fine bead of acidity and a fresh ginger finish sealing what is a well crafted Chassagne. Recommended." (VM)

"Aromas of smoky reduction and a deft application of wood can be found on the pear, apple and white peach-scented nose. The medium weight plus flavors are rich to the point of opulence while the sappy dry extract coats the palate on the powerful and nicely complex finale. I would describe this as a candidate for short to at most mid-term cellaring as I fear that it may become a bit ponderous with extended aging." (BH)

Winery Notes:
Having worked for many years with his family at the Domaine Michel Colin-Deleger and Fils, Bruno and his wife Stéphanie produced their first vintage in 2004. Today, the Domaine Bruno Colin consists of approximately 18 Acres located within the communes of Chassagne- Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay and Maranges. In separating himself from the family Domaine, Bruno has realized his dream of trying different winemaking techniques. The Domaine vinifies each vintage rigorously by respecting the terroir of each parcel in order to allow the wine to present itself as perfectly and as naturally as possible. Bruno’s winemaking style is now affirmed – he makes wines of great precision and minerality-a lovely juxtaposition to the sometimes heavy classical wines of Chassagne-Montrachet.
