"Sporting a medium ruby hue, the 2018 Grenache is a sweetly fruited, charming effort offering plenty of mulberry and cherry fruits, some flowery incense and spice notes, medium-bodied richness, and a good finish. It's a touch commercial, but it certainly has charm." (JD)

Winery Notes:
2018 was a fantastic vintage with almost perfect ripening weather and better than average yields of very high-quality fruit. A later start and end to the harvest brought back memories of a more typical Santa Barbara harvest season compared to the last several years. Another outstanding year!

Focusing on the brighter, spicier more floral side of Grenache, this 100 % Grenache is harvest from vineyard blocks on our BD certified Purisima Mountain. A blend of two sections and two clones of Grenache, this wine combine the weight, structure and power of the Tablas selection with the fruit, texture and elegance of the Alban selection. 100% neutral barrel aged for 12 months insures a very pure expression of Grenache.
