Winery Notes:
WILLAKENZIE ESTATE:
WillaKenzie is named after the sedimentary soil on which our estate is planted – a tribute to Oregon’s two major rivers, the Willamette and the McKenzie, which meet in nearby Eugene. Founded in 1992 and located in Yamhill-Carlton, our picturesque, 420-acre estate is deeply rooted in the heart of Oregon’s wine country. As the first LIVE certified winery in the Northwest, stewardship of the land and preservation of the diversity of our local ecosystem are at the forefront of our vineyard management and winemaking. WillaKenzie Estate features the most clonal diversity in the Willamette Valley, with over 11 different clones of Pinot planted – enabling blend complexity and texture. Our Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays and Pinot Gris showcase the elegance of the Willamette Valley AVA we call home.

WILLAMETTE VALLEY:
Located in northwestern Oregon, the Willamette Valley is one of the world’s leading winegrowing regions with a specific focus on cool-climate viticulture. Long, dry summers at moderate temperature; well drained, porous soils; and exposed hillsides make the Willamette Valley ideal for growing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, the region’s most prominent varietals.

TASTING NOTES:
This classic Willamette Valley Pinot Gris is a true expression of both its vintage and the environment in which it was grown. This wine is intensely flavorful with a refreshing, well balanced palate profile. Effusive and aromatic right out of the glass, this Pinot Gris showcases classic varietal aromas along with a streak of minerality and lime zest. Those flavors carry through to the palate, which offers a creamy textural profile backed by refreshing, mineral-drenched acidity and fruit character on the finish.
