"Pineapple-infused peach, melon and citrus flavors are bright and transparent, with fresh, zingy acidity imparting a refreshing finish. Drink now. 5,038 cases made. -MW " (WS)

"The 2017 Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is hugely tropical on the nose, even boasting hints of mango, no small feat in this cool, rain-plagued vintage. There's nectarine as well in this medium-bodied wine, plus enough grapefruit and a touch of fresh herbs for balance. Drink it over the next 6-9 months." (WA)

"A restrained, grassy nose with a central theme of limes that leads to a smoothly textured palate. Mangoes to close. Drink now. Screw cap." (JS)

"This charges out of the gate with heady aromas of lychee, pineapple and mango. There are hints of nettle and tomato leaf, but this is a fruit-led, crisp and chalky-textured wine." (WE)

Winery Notes:
This New Zealand brand represents a partnership between the Baron Benjamin de Rothschild (owner of Château Clarke and Château des Laurets in Bordeaux) and Terry Peabody (Owner of Craggy Range Winery in New Zealand). Acquired in 2012 by Rothschild, Rimapere Vineyard is situated in the prestigious Rapaura section of Marlborough.

In Maori, Rimapere means "five arrows," representing the emblem of the Rothschild family which stands for the five brothers who forged this dynasty of entrepreneurs: the five sons of Mayer Amschel Rothschild.

The 26-hectare Rimapere Vineyard is ideally located on the prestigious site of Rapaura in the heart of Marlborough. The region's fresh climate is conducive to producing Sauvignon Blanc of excellent quality, giving the grapes a pleasant acidity expressed through a distinctive freshness and classic lemon and grapefruit aromas.

Viticulture and winemaking for Rimapere Sauvignon Blanc are under the care of the Craggy Range winemaking team.
