"Rich, full of cherry, leather, tar and underbrush flavors, this red starts out with ample fruit and finishes with a coating of stiff, dry tannins. Drink now through 2023. 10,000 cases made. -BS " (WS)

"The 2017 Langhe Nebbiolo is an elegant expression that shows tonic and fresh fruit with wild berry, rose hip and tilled earth. This wine excels in terms of presenting Nebbiolo in its most pure and naked state. This vintage shows an extra level of concentration and textural richness with a clear tannic bite on the close.

Produttori enthusiasts will be happy to know that the estate's celebrated Riservas were made in 2014, a vintage that performed very nicely in the rolling hills of Barbaresco. We can also look forward to the Riservas in 2015 and 2016. I find it helpful to remember the tasting order of the Riservas as suggested by General Manager Aldo Vacca. It starts with the more delicate expressions and concludes with the most structured wines." (WA)

Winery Notes:
Produced from young vineyards, this Nebbiolo has a young, fresh character that is ready for immediate consumption and is ideal for everyday drinking. While labeled under the Langhe DOC appellation, this wine follows all the guide-lines and achieves a quality level on par with the Barbaresco denomination. The first vintage of this wine was produced in 1978.

Ruby red color. Bouquet of red fruit with notes of spices, white pepper and anise. The flavor is balanced with bright fruit.

Pairs well with pizza, pastas with simple sauces, sausage, ham, charcuterie and spicy dishes.
