"Offers a lively beam of crisp acidity, paired with complex and precise blueberry, raspberry, white pepper and licorice flavors that build richness toward a long finish. Drink now through 2026. -T.F." (WS)

"Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Hartford Zinfandel Russian River Valley opens with bombastic blueberry pie, raspberry preserves and blackberry tart scents with waft of potpourri, Chinese five spice, raisin cake and dusty soil. The palate is full-bodied, rich and spicy with a zippy line of freshness and a long chewy finish. 1,939 cases produced." (WA)

"The 2017 Zinfandel (Russian River) is a terrific introduction to this range of Zinfandels from Hartford. Bright, punchy and forward, the 2017 is super-expressive. Juicy red berry fruit and high-toned floral notes are nicely pushed forward in a succulent, juicy Zinfandel that will drink well right out of the gate." (VM)

Winery Notes:
The 2017 Hartford Russian River Valley Zinfandel is showing aromas of ripe plum, blackberry, black cherry which are highlighted with hints of white pepper and allspice. Blueberry, red raspberry, nutmeg and mocha flavors lead into a long, bright finish with supple tannins.
