"Tart citrus, earth, honey, and a touch of flinty minerality emerge from the 2017 Pouilly-Fume Genetin, which is all Sauvignon Blanc raised in stainless steel. It’s surprisingly rich and textured on the palate, with some serious oomph, yet has bright acidity and a clean finish. It’s an interesting wine that’s going to do well on the dinner table. I suspect it will be better in another 6-12 months and should keep for 3-4 years." (JD)

"This 37-acre estate managed by Annick Tinel-Blondelet has produced a juicy wine with open white fruits and good acidity. Called after the original name for the Sauvignon Blanc grape, it has great fruitiness, a taut texture and is ready to drink." (WE)

Winery Notes:
Acording to several historians, in the 17th century, in Pouilly Sur Loire, Génetin was the name given to the Sauvignon grape variety.

A golden colored and mineral wine with elegance and finesse. A mineral-laced smoky accent and citrus aromas. Elegant and powerful on the palate. Can be cellared for 2-3 years.
