PRETTY GOOD DEAL ON THE EVER POPULAR "INDIAN WELLS" EFFORT!!

"Snappy and refreshing, with easygoing citrus and spicy herb flavors. Drink now. 110,000 cases made. -TF" (WS)

"The 2017 Chardonnay Indian Wells Vineyard is a workhorse with a one million-case production that still manages to have a clean and soft nose of subtle oak, ripe apples and lemon aromas. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with a healthy core of fruit and balanced acidity that lingers onto the finish along with fresh flavors that deliver a classic expression of Chardonnay at a great value." (WA)

"Bright medium yellow. More tropical-fruity on the nose than the Canoe Ridge Estate bottling, with pineapple and toffee aromas dominating. Rich, fruit-driven and tactile but not heavy; actually lower in alcohol than Chateau Ste. Michelle's other two 2017 Chardonnays but with a more New World flavor profile. Finishes a touch dry but with good persistence. Cleanly made and fairly intense but could use a bit more nuance and definition. (13.5% alcohol; from warmer sites)" (VM)

"GOOD VALUE, Smelling and tasting of juicy Gala apples with a wee touch of citrus and a light oak veneer, this very accessible effort is not a wine that will be accused of far-ranging complexity but it has well-defined Chardonnay fruit that goes several steps further in that regard than its modest price might suggest. Reviewed: May 2020"(CG)

"Vanilla and clarified butter aromas are out front along with barrel notes of baking spice on this wood-driven wine. The palate shows more of the same, with slightly sweet fruit flavors. It's all about the oak and style. -Sean P. Sullivan" (WE)

Winery Notes:
"Our Indian Wells Chardonnay delivers an appealing tropical fruit character typical of warm sites like the Wahluke Slope. I like this Chardonnay’s ripe pineapple and butterscotch flavors and rich, creamy texture. Try it with scallops, scampi or pasta with rich sauce."
