NEW FRESH RELEASE

"The 2017 Cotes de Provence Rose Whispering Angel is a very good effort from this export-focused winery. A blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Vermentino, and Tibouren, it offers peach and melon aromas along with a plump, medium-bodied palate and a crisp, grapefruit-y finish. Yes, it's a well-known brand, but don't turn your nose up at it, as it represents solid grape sourcing and winemaking."(WA)

"Extremely pale pink. Fresh strawberry and floral scents and flavors show good clarity and spicy lift. Silky and light on its feet; a faint touch of bitterness emerges with air and adds finishing cut." (VM)

"This is so lovely with the strawberry and cream character but also so much minerality in the form of slate and chalk. Medium-bodied, this glides rather effortlessly on the palate but still shows flavorful notes of peaches and spices. Drink now." (JS)

Winery Notes:
As a negociant and vinificateur (winery), Caves d’esclans identifies vineyards, grapes and wines from château d’esclans as well as local growers to make what has reputedly become the world’s greatest rosé. As our objective is to obtain the best quality grapes and wines, we have created relationships with the local grape growers, committed beside Caves d’esclans, whose vineyards are treated with the same high standards of quality as are the vineyards of Château d’esclans.

Grapes grown from some of the most choice land in the surrounding region of La Motte en Provence, consisting primarily of Grenache, Rolle (Vermentino) and Cinsault. Harvesting at sunrise to noon. Optical grape sorting. Destemming and slight crushing at 7-8c to avoid oxidation. Both the free run juice and pressed juices are vinified in stainless steel. “Batônnage” is twice weekly. Temperature controlled
