"Although a bit reluctant to find specific Pinot Noir focus in its mildly mushroomy aromas, this pleasantly rounded, medium-full-bodied wine shapes up far better once in the mouth and tastes of spotlessly clean, straightforward, cherry-like fruit. It gets it right in terms of varietal texture, even if it could do with a little more brightness and bounce, and it is best tagged for drinking in the coming year. Reviewed: February 2020" (CG)

"Along the same lines, the 2017 Pinot Noir Monterey County offers solid notes of spiced cherries, forest floor, and a touch of flowers in its medium-bodied, charming, balanced, nicely textured personality. Want a mid-week Pinot Noir that won't break the bank yet offers real character? Give this a whirl." (JD)

"Dried cherry, leather and baked earth aromas arise on the nose of this widely available, fairly priced bottling. There are earthy tones to the palate as well, where dried meat flavors meet with soft cherry and strawberry tones. Matt Kettmann" (WE)

Winery Notes:
"Our 2017 Pinot Noir has concentrated aromas of red cherry and strawberry with hints of baking spice. On the palate, dark berry flavors and notes of black tea. Overall the acidity and richness in the wine are well balanced with silky tannins leading to a long finish." -Kris Kato, Winemaker
