Winery Notes:
The Calipaso 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon (89%) along with Merlot (11%) that also is grown in Paso Robles area. The wine is medium-bodied with succulent fruit flavors along with soft tannins. The aromas are a complex blend of dark fruits such as blackcurrants and plums, while the flavors show sweet oak and vanilla along with a hint of spice.

Calipaso Wines are complex wines, not high in alcohol, nor overripe in flavors. Rather, the red wines reveal rich flavor themes with very large, bold, yet smooth tannin structure. The phenomenal skin structure of the fruit results in opulent, dark colors, practically impenetrable by light. The white wines display bright vibrant flavors with crisp natural acidity.
