"The 2016 Sauvignon Blanc Aurora Point Vineyard opens with green apple, white grapefruit and lemon peel notes with touches of elderflower and orange blossoms. Medium-bodied with a lovely slight silkiness to the texture and plenty of zip, it has a great citrus fruit core, finishing long and invigorating. 375 cases produced." (WA)

"The 2016 Sauvignon Blanc Aurora Point Vineyard offers striking depth, texture and creaminess. Fermentation in oak, along with lees stirring, give the wines a distinctive oiliness and waxiness that comes through in the wine's textural feel." (VM)

"Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc from vineyards at 800 to 1,000 feet in elevation, the 2016 Sauvignon Blanc Aurora Point Vineyard was fermented and aged in a French oak foudre. It’s slightly fresher and more crisp compared to the estate release and has lots of lemon, white flowers, citrus rind, and a similar salinity. This medium-bodied, vibrant Sauvignon Blanc has terrific purity and will drink nicely for 4-5 years as well, if not longer.

Stonestreet falls under the Jackson Family umbrella and focuses on higher elevation, mountain sites. The wines, made by Lisa Valtenbergs, are rock-solid across the board." (JD)

Winery Notes:
The Aurora is a study in the tension between exotic fruit and power, proof positive that high elevation Sauvignon Blanc is a force to be reckoned with. Star fruit, tangerine and passion fruit fill out the aromas, with a gun smoke element shading the background. The palate opens with a full, focused texture, a powerful statement that’s held aloft by quince, lime peel and a stony finish.
