"Lively and appealingly briary, with black cherry, licorice and cracked pepper flavors, finishing with zesty tannins. Drink now through 2023. 7,162 cases made.–TF " (WS)

"Bright violet color. Blueberry, licorice, mocha and a hint of spiciness on the fragrant nose. Smooth and sweet on the palate, showing good energy to its black/blue fruit and mocha flavors. Pliant and broad in style, finishing with subtle, building tannins and lingering blue fruit character." (VM)

"From its nicely focused, lightly spicy aromas of berries and cherries to its lively, mid-density flavors, Peachy Canyon's Westside Zinfandel is a clean, easy-to-like, medium-full-bodied effort. It is slightly rounded in feel with comparatively muted tannins, and, while capable of keeping for several years, its accessible, no-nonsense fruitiness invites drinking without need of further cellaring. Reviewed: January 2019" (CG)

Winery Notes:
Ever our flagship Zinfandel, this charming wine opens with aromas of rhubarb, saw dust, and allspice. Plum, black cherry, and boysenberry marry with notes of leather, tobacco, casis, and menthol on the palate for a slightly dry finish.

Production Notes:
The 2016 Westside started with gently hand harvesting fruit from a select group of high quality vineyards on the Westside of Paso Robles. The fruit was carefully sorted and destemmed into tanks and fermented in stainless steel tanks until dry. The wine was racked to barrel and aged for 16 months in 30% new oak.
