"The 2016 Pinot Noir Sierra Mar Vineyard has a pale to medium ruby-purple color and is scented of red currants, red cherries and rhubarb with an earthy/forest floor undercurrent and waft of sautéed herbs. The medium-bodied palate fills the mouth with fragrant earth suggestions, framed by chewy tannins and seamless freshness and finishing with lingering stewed tea and dried cherry hints." (WA)

"There is nothing at all delicate about this big, fully-stuffed wine, yet for all of its evident extract and ripeness, this deep and very well-focused wine is concerned first and foremost with very keen, decidedly juicy Pinot Noir fruit. It is full-bodied and fleshy in feel yet never once intimates softness, and, if already accessible and quite easy to taste, it hints here and there at more to come with age. It is a generous mouthful to be sure, but it is remarkably well-structured for its considerable size, and it has the right pieces in place to age famously for a good half-decade and more. Reviewed: February 2018" (CG)

"Asian spices, white pepper, dried flowers and assorted darker red fruits all define the 2016 Pinot Noir Sierra Mar Vineyard. Aged 10 months in 15% new French oak, it's medium-bodied and elegant on the palate, with good acidity, and a clean, yet short finish. It's another nicely balanced, pretty Pinot Noir from Brian that will keep for 4-5 years." (JD)
