"Giuliano Corino's 2016 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is soft, perfumed and silky - all qualities that make it easy to drink and enjoy this upon release. Kirsch, sweet spice and wild flowers give this mid-weight La Morra Barolo a good bit of raciness. The Barolo is a blend of sites in La Morra's Annunziata district. This is such a classy wine, and a standout in its peer group." (VM)

This is a very pretty set of Barolos from Giuliano Corino. The 2016s are fleshy and enticing wines that capture all of the sensuality of La Morra. Corino gave his 2016s six days on the skins in rotary fermenters. Malolactic fermentation was done in tank. The wines were then barreled down in mid-November, and spent two years in oak, with no racking, before they were blended and moved into tank in preparation for bottling. Harvest took place between October 1 and 13, on the later side by present-day standards." -Antonio Galloni, Vinous (02/20)
