LAST THREE CASES KNOWN TO MAN!!......Blend: 69% Mourvèdre, 21% Syrah, 10% Grenache , and Counoise as well as Cinsault

"With a brooding yet polished demeanor, this red builds richness as it goes, offering blackberry, cured meat, loamy mineral and pepper flavors that end with big yet refined tannins. Mourvèdre, Syrah and Grenache. Best from 2020 through 2026. 450 cases made. -TF" (WS)

"A blend of 69% Mourvèdre, 21% Syrah and 10% Grenache, the 2016 Parvata displays a clean core of fruit on the nose, with black raspberries and wild cherry with a dusty minerality wafting from the glass along with purple flowers and steak au poivre. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is fresh and pure, with a mineral dustiness and a balanced tannic structure that adds to the complexity of the mouthfeel. The wine is focused and displays a delightful expression on the thoughtful, lingering finish. Only 470 cases were made." (WA)

"(aged in 20% new oak as well as some larger-format barrels up to 500 liters): Bright ruby-red. Musky scents of dark cherry, blueberry, cinnamon and tree bark are complicated by higher-pitched hints of white flowers, grapefruit and white pepper (I was reminded of a Châteauneuf du Pape from the likes of Vieux Donjon). Offers captivating finesse of texture, showing more detail and inner-mouth lift than the '15 version. Finishes with a ripe suggestion of mocha and subtle length, its firm tannins avoiding hardness. Classic 2016 verve and definition here. (14.9% alcohol)" (VM)

"Aromas of deep red and dark plums, chocolate and dark cherries lead to a palate that has bright, pure and fresh fruit appeal. The tannins are polished and the spicy, supple fruit cascades through the finish. A blend of mourvedre, syrah and grenache. Drink over the next six years." (JS)

"There are only 325 cases of the 2016 Parvata, a blend of 69% Mourvèdre, 21% Syrah, and 10% Grenache brought up in 30% new, mostly larger barrels. Deep ruby-colored, with a beautiful bouquet of black raspberries, white pepper, spiced meats, and graphite, this hits the palate with full-bodied richness, ripe tannins, and beautiful length." (JD)

"Cellar Selection, A blend of 69% Mourvèdre, 21% Syrah and 10% Grenache, raspberry jam, herb, white pepper and citrus peel aromas vie for attention. Ripe, full-bodied fruit and coffee flavors follow, with a lingering finish capping it off. It shows depth and intensity, with the tannins bringing a slightly dry grip that smooths out with significant time open. Best after 2023 with an extremely long life ahead of it. -Sean P. Sullivan " (WE)

Winery Notes::
Parvata means “mountain” in sanskrit, and is the name for our southern Rhône-inspired blend, grown mostly in the sandy, loamy soils of the lower section of our Red Mountain vineyard, which bring to the wine a good degree of finesse and high-toned aromatic notes, white pepper, dried herbs and grapefruit peel. Fermented after cold soak in concrete vats, it receives a gentle extraction before being barreled down to spend approximately 18 months in a small percentage of new French oak, utilizing both large format puncheons and barrels. The blend will change each year and will eventually be driven by Grenache as more of our plantings come into production. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
