"Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2016 du Glana gives up plums, cassis, earth and dried herbs scents with nuances of meats and wood smoke. The palate is medium-bodied, elegant, fresh and minerally with fine-grained tannins and a lively finish." (WA)

"A sleeper in this vintage, the 2016 du Glana is absolutely gorgeous. Supple and resonant on the palate, with terrific depth and tons of character, the 2016 is a real overachiever. Juicy red cherry, plum, lavender and sweet spice all flesh out in this succulent, hugely delicious Saint-Julien. Don't miss it." (VM)

"Very vivid and juicy with lovely fruit and acidity that gives this wine presence and texture. Much better than the 2015." (JS)

"91–93. Barrel Sample. Structured, with spicy fruits and bright acidity, this is a wine for the medium term. It is on a straight line of fruit, acidity and final tannins. The finish is crisply fruity. -Roger Voss" (WE)

"One of the few remaining non-classified growths in the St. Julien appellation, this wine serves up fresh, abundant cassis, tobacco and cedar. Medium body with soft textures and a berry-filled finish, the wine needs a few years to develop more complexity. 2350 Views Tasted Apr 29, 2017" (JL)

Additional Notes:
In this ultra-premium appellation (St Julien), 90% of the parcels belong to classified growths. Du Glana is one of last remaining “small, independent and non-Classified” estate of the appellation.
