"Trim and savory, with pensive notes of dried herb, smoky plum and licorice. Best after 2019. 12,000 cases made. -TF " (WS)

"The 2016 Syrah Tous les Jours sports a medium to deep garnet-purple color and leaps from the glass with vibrant raspberry coulis, black cherry and red currant notes with touches of baking spices and roses. The medium to full-bodied palate fills the mouth with spices and red and black fruits, framed by plush, rounded tannins and finishing on a peppery note. This is so different from the previous vintage of this wine and nicely done too!" (WA)

"The 2016 Syrah Tous les Jours is another highly promising wine from Andrew Murray. Stylistically, the 2016 has a bit more aromatic presence than other recent vintages have shown. Tobacco, savory herb, black pepper and dark Syrah fruit notes are all nicely delineated in this expressive, inviting, budget-friendly Syrah." (VM)

"The value-priced 2016 Syrah Tous les Jours is 100% Syrah from a handful of vineyards in the Santa Ynez Valley. It has classic Syrah notes of barbecue smoke, peppered meats, underbrush, and black and blue fruits. As with all of Andrew's wines, it's elegant and pure on the palate, with medium body, bright acidity, and a clean, crisp finish." (JD)

"Always one of the best Syrahs on the broad market for a fair price, this year's Tous les Jours is slightly less exciting than in years past, but still delivers the goods. Aromas of purple flowers and snappy boysenberry lead into a palate that's extremely fresh and vibrant with rounded berry flavors." (WE)

"7. 2016 Andrew Murray Vineyards, “Tous les Jours,” Santa Ynez Valley ($20) – Medium to medium-dark ruby; fragrant, ripe, spicy, blackberry and blueberry fruit aroma with hints of white pepper, licorice, and smoked meat; medium-full to full body; nicely balanced, moderately rich, dark berry fruit flavors with herbal and spicy notes; medium-full to full tannin; lingering aftertaste. Made in a lighter style that’s easy and enjoyable to drink now and over the next year or two. Highly recommended. 14.5% alcohol; 12,500 cases; 100% Syrah; released September 2018. (Group Score: 16.1, 1/0/1; My Score: 16.5 [89/100], seventh place)" (CGV)

Winery Notes:
The Syrah Tous les Jours is a quintessential Santa Ynez Valley Syrah. It is simultaneously Bold and Balanced, Rich and Smooth, Fruit Forward and Earthy. It is impossibly dark and full-bodied, without ever going over the top. It is heavily inspired by Northern Rhone Syrah (Hermitage) and Australian Shiraz (Barossa Valley). The aromas and flavors are dominated by black cherry, raspberry, white pepper, forrest floor and toasty oak. It is absolutely unique and special expression of Syrah. Moreover, It is a style that one can enjoy every day.
