Winery Notes:
This Super Tuscan is a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot. Its color is a deep red with violet hints. The aromatic bouquet shows violets and cherries mixed with a dash of raspberry. Rounded by barrel ageing, it boasts a velvety mid-palate and a bold finish.

Alberto Conti’s Toscana Rosso is obtained through a combination of ancient traditions and modern techniques of vinification that give the wine very fruity aromas and an intense red color. The harvest is completed by hand at the end of September. Next, the fermentation of the grapes takes place in stainless steel tanks at a constant temperature of 73-75° F. The skins are a fundamental element of this process because they are responsible for the wine’s color and texture. Therefore, at the conclusion of fermentation itself, the new wine has some time to rest on them for 2-3 days before the malolactic fermentation. The Toscana Rosso is aged partly in French oak barrels for 6 months.
