"Bright black currant and blueberry fruit shine in this red, accented by a dusting of wild herbs, mineral and spice. Turns compact and slightly chewy on the finish, with moderate grip. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Best from 2019 through 2028. 25,000 cases made. –BS " (WS)

"The 2015 vintage promises good things in Tuscany and this wine offers an informal sneak peek at what we can expect from the celebrated Tenuta San Guido vineyards in Bolgheri. The 2015 Guidalberto opens to a darkly saturated garnet hue. It shows similar concentration and power in terms of its aromatic delivery. Aromas are shapely and round with dark fruit nuances followed by leather, spice and dark tar. The wine is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with a smaller part Merlot. You feel the lush softness of the second grape as the wine glides smoothly over the palate. It takes on more weight in the glass. This is a solid buy from Bolgheri on the Tuscany Coast." (WA)

"Fantastic fruit on the nose with currant, apricot and orange aromas that follow through to a full body. Extremely fine tannins and a bright finish. A tight yet generous red with so much going on. Best ever. A blend of 70% cabernet sauvignon and 30% merlot." (JS)

Winery Notes:
This 2015 vintage is a spectacular red distinguished by dark fruit nuances, spices, and a polished aroma of black currant and blueberry. Upon tasting, it delivers a dreamy, aromatic sensation that is lush and velvety over the palate. The bright berry notes are immediate and primary, making this a warm and evolved blend with great structure and a soft tannins.

The wine is de-stemmed manually, in order to ensure its impeccable quality. The grapes are then fermented in a controlled stainless steel vats and then aged 15 months in French oak barrels.
