Winery Notes:
This is a small BA. 125 is the minimum Oe to be labeled as a BA. In this case that is a very good thing. Approximately 25% of the grapes were infected with "noble rot", botrytis, it was a very clean botrytis keeping the wine extremely elegant and graceful. This keeps the wine light and fresh without being too heavy or cumbersome as some BA's can be when they have too much botrytis or botrytis that is not clean. It has 18% residual sugar and .96 acid. Higher acid in this wine would have made it too shrill. This is a perfect balance between residual sugar and acid. Bright, light fresh tropical flavors with hints of pineapple and white peaches make this a wine a pleasure to enjoy now, but with the capability to age gracefully. Total production 48 liters, approximately 10 cases of 12--375 mls bottles.

Additional Notes:
Welcome to our winery! Our small quality oriented family business was founded 1442 in Hattenheim and has a long tradition in wine making.

We run a small organic winery (2,5 ha). Organic wine making was our choice because both the environment and high quality of the wine are of great matter to us.

We are members of the ECOVIN Association and certified according to their standards, which includes controls every year.

You can find us in the small idyllic village of Hattenheim, about 4 km west of Eltville.

In our new vinothek you are welcome to taste our wines and find your own favorite amongst grapes like: Frühburgunder, Spätburgunder, Weissherbst, Auxerrois, Viognier, Sauvignon blanc and Riesling.
