"Rich, smoky oak and plump dark berry, mocha, cedar and sage flavors form an enticing mouthful, supported by a supple, caressing texture, ending long and full. Drink now through 2030. -J.L" (WS)

"A barrel sample made up of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 3% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot, the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas of cedar, earth and sage with blackberries, mulberries and spice box suggestions. The full-bodied, approachable/open-knit palate shows notable toasty oak, good concentration and chewy tannins, finishing long and spicy." (WA)

"Aromas of fresh blackcurrants, citrus rind, pine needles, cedar, licorice and a hint of tomato paste. Medium to full body with soft tannins. A little oaky and jammy if enjoyable. A blend of 82% cabernet sauvignon, 7% merlot, 7% cabernet franc, 3% malbec and 1% petit verdot. Drink now." (JS)

"Tasted as a barrel sample and a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% each of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and the balanced Malbec and Petit Verdot, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon offers a ripe, sexy, charming style as well as loads of smoked currant and black cherry fruit, lots of charred oak, medium to full-bodied richness, and a good finish. It’s a total crowd pleaser to drink in its first decade or life."(JD)

Winery Notes:
Grapes come from the finest vineyard sites in Napa Valley's best appellations, including Sequoia Grove and Tonella Estate vineyards in Rutherford (36%), and select parcels from top growers, including Stagecoach, Morisoli, Lamoreaux, Henry Brothers, Johnson Vineyard, Frediani Vineyard, Healy Vineyard, and Christian Vineyard. All fruit is hand sorted before a 1-2 day cold soak, then fermented in small batches, with pumpovers 2-3 times a day, and malolactic fermentation in barrel. The wine matured for 20 months in American oak barrels (40% new).
