"Creamy oak folds in nicely with vibrant green apple, pear and melon notes, providing a refreshing summer quaff. Drink now. 141,000 cases made. -JL" (WS)

"GOOD VALUE, Fairly direct, reasonably fruity and touched with a note of roasted grains, this medium-bodied Chardonnay will fill the bill nicely for lighter meals and even for aperitif use. Its focus on mid-ripe apples and its open, slightly sweet fruitiness is balanced by more than enough acidity, and, even with a certain youthful need for polish, this one is among the more interesting wines at its price. Reviewed: July 2017" (CG)

Winery Notes:
Our story begins more than 50 years ago, when a celebrated American dancer named Rod Strong settled in Sonoma County to pursue a second lifelong creative passion: winemaking. Rodney Strong Vineyards was the 13th winery bonded in the newly discovered Sonoma County wine industry. A trio of winemaking paths crossed when Rick Sayre joined the team as Winemaker in 1979, and again when the Klein Family, 4th generation California farmers, purchased the winery in 1989 and initiated a renewed commitment of modern artisan winemaking. Through the years, Rodney Strong Vineyards has earned the reputation for critically acclaimed Single Vineyard and Reserve wines, stand out Estate releases and best-in-class Sonoma County varietal wines.
,br/> Ultimate Beverage Challenge 95 points - Big, aromatic and hearty. A Chardonnay that jumps in the nostrils with lemon curd, Gala apples, sweet peaches, white blossoms, navel oranges, and coconut. The palate does not disappoint with flavors of ripe pineapple and pears, figs, concentrated vanilla and citrus. - 2017 Ultimate Wine Challenge (Great Value , Tried & True Award) (Jun 2017)
