"Deep and potently structured, with distinctive spice box and licorice aromas and densely layered flavors of blackberry, cracked pepper and smoky herbes de Provence that finish with big but ripe tannins. Best from 2019 through 2025. 4,500 cases made.–TF " (WS)

"A dense, powerful wine, the 2015 Zinfandel Pagani Ranch exudes concentration in all of its dimensions. Red cherry jam, pomegranate, mint, rose petal and spice meld together in a plush, voluptuous Zinfandel loaded with personality. There is so much to like. The Pagani is the ripest and most overt of the three Zinfandel-based 2015s I tasted. A generous dollop of Alicante contributes to the wine's feel." (VM)

"Ridge's Pagani Ranch bottling runs hot and cold in our tastings, but lately, has shown, as it does here, fairly well without quite reaching the top of the rating scale. It is high in ripeness and a little bit brusque at times although this vintage is not on the fierce end of the spectrum. It gets dinged a bit for a noticeable tangy, sharp quality as it ends, but as usual, it does not lack for personality and, instead, earns its plaudits for the convincing depth of its ripe fruit and its sturdy but approachable character. Reviewed: September 2017" (CG)

"Moving to the reds, the 2015 Zinfandel Pagani Ranch (83% Zinfandel, 10% Alicante Bouschet, and 7% Petite Sirah) is a downright slutty wine that's just loaded with sweet fruit and texture. Spiced plums, licorice, baking spices and brambly notes emerge from this ripe, full-bodied, plush Zinfandel that's already impossible to resist. It's not for those craving austerity or tart flavors. " (JD)

Winery Notes:
Saturated red/purple. Appealing mixed black and red fruits, compote, exotic barrel spice. Ripe black cherry and plum fruits on entry, opulent and full-bodied, lively acid, and a sensuously long finish. EB (7/17)
