"A blend of 50% Grenache, 35% Syrah and 15% Mourvèdre, the 2015 Maniacal exhibits sweet aromas of grilled meat, ripe cherries, kirsch, dried herbs and orange rind. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, fine-grained and layered, with a ripe core of fruit complemented by savory nuances, concluding with a chewy finish." (WA)

"The Southern Rhône blend is the 2015 Manical Rhone Blend and its 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 20% Mourvèdre and 10% Petite Sirah. A wine that will see 20 months in 60% new French oak, it offers a perfumed, seriously ripe bouquet of plums, blueberries, violets, licorice and white pepper. It has a solid kiss of oak on the palate, yet is seamless and silky, with lots of fruit and good purity. I suspect it will round into shape nicely once bottled and be an outstanding wine." (JD)

"There are loads of sagebrush, thyme, peppercorn and dried oregano aromas on this blend of 50% Grenache, 35% Syrah and 15% Mourvèdre, all set against a baked boysenberry frame. The mouthfeel is easygoing and airy, with flavors of tart berry, plum skins and more garden herbs. A peppery spice extends through the finish." (WE)
