"The 2015 Riesling Wehlener Klosterberg Kabinett (White Capsule) opens with a beautifully pure and stony/flinty gray slate aroma intertwined with bright and fresh Riesling flavors. This is super well defined and precise on the nose and enormously stimulating in its purity. On the palate, this is a straight and racy, very mineral and rather challenging Kabinett that comes along as a medium-bodied yet persistent and already complex terroir wine. The finish is very piquant and delivers crushed stones with fresh citrus flavors. If you had oysters with it, you would be in heaven. This is the Kabinett with AP #8." (WA)

"A seductive nose of apple, apple blossom and heliotrope could come from the “grand cru” Wehlener Sonnenuhr two miles upstream on the other side of the river. Juicy, seed-inflected fresh apple and lime retain lovely inner-mouth floral accents on a polished, buoyant (11 percent alcohol) palate, leading to a dry-tasting and satisfyingly sustained finish, albeit one that doesn’t quite live up to the wine’s aromatic advertisement." (VM)

"Juicy white peach and berry fruit, but rather elegant with a very crisp finish. Delicious now, but would easily age to 2025." (JS)
