"Well-structured and polished, with expressive red currant and orange zest aromas that open to generous black cherry, pepper and licorice flavors, lingering toward refined tannins. Drink now through 2024. 1,886 cases made.–TF " (WS)

"Along with DeLille, Leonetti's Merlot is always a contender for the Merlot of the vintage. The 2015 Walla Walla Merlot sports a vibrant purple color to go with gorgeously fresh notes of red plum, black cherries intermixed with notes of graphite and spring flowers. Supple, polished and fruit-forward, with light tannin and good concentration, it's already hard to resist and made in a forward, delicious style. Drink it anytime over the coming decade or more." (WA)

"Dark ruby-red. Inviting dark perfume of cassis, blackberry and violet. Seriously concentrated, intense and sharply delineated, showing captivating floral lift to its very deep dark berry and licorice flavors. Still a bit youthfully imploded but there's lovely lurking sweetness here. Finishes with noble tannins and terrific cut and length. A splendid vintage for this bottling, in spite of the heat of the year." (VM)

"A blend of Loess Vineyard and Leonetti Old Block, this wine is 100% varietal. The aromas are bright and pure, with notes of raspberry, cherry, plum, anise and spice. The flavors deliver, with a sense of understated appeal." (WE)

Winery Notes:
This 100% Merlot pours inky into the glass. The nose is deep and intricate with top note florals lifting it higher as it opens. Tightly focused, the wine saturates the palate with dense blue and black fruits that linger endlessly. An immensely pleasurable wine, it possesses all the attributes that make Walla Walla one of the world’s premier places to grow Merlot.
