"Nicely packed, with a juicy, energetic core of raspberry coulis, red currant preserves and mulled damson plum fruit. Light anise, singed apple wood and sandalwood notes thread the long and seductive finish. Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvèdre. Best from 2019 through 2035. 6,750 cases made.–JM " (WS)

"The 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Bel Ami is a 50-50 blend of Grenache and Syrah. Perhaps that's why it seems somewhat restrained, peppery and herbal on the nose. It's medium to full-bodied, with a creamy, supple mid-palate and a long, peppered-raspberry finish." (WA)

Winery Notes:
Soft round tannins, a very elegant wine. Red and black fruit bouquet, (cherries, blackberries), hints of garrigues, christmas cake and peppery spice. A fine wine. This wine will open up beautifully if decantered at least 1 hour before serving.
