"Moving to the four Crozes Hermitage releases, the 2015 Crozes Hermitage La Matiniere should be a smoking value, although I suspect it will need a year or two to round into form. Incense, blackberries, blueberries and cassis all emerge from this full-bodied, rich and concentrated Crozes that shows how good this vintage is for the Crozes appellation.

The quality (and number of cuvées) from this estate continues to soar, and this is easily the finest lineup up of wines I’ve tasted from this team." (WA)

"Deep ruby. Aromas of cherry pit, black currant, peppery spices and succulent herbs, lifted by a zesty mineral quality. Juicy and focused on the palate, displaying very good depth to the smoke-accented dark berry and bitter cherry flavors. Shows good heft as well as vivacity and finishes with firm mineral cut, building tannins and lingering spiciness." (VM)

Winery Notes:
intense cherry-red colour.

small red fruit, blackcurrants.

very aromatic attack, aromas of ripe red fruit (cherries, raspberries). Round wine with smooth tannins.
