"The 2015 Chardonnay Grace Benoist Ranch Estate is Chablis-like with strong floral notes, crushed rock and pebbles, medium body, citrus blossom and apples notes. There is no malolactic fermentation to retain its acidity. Drink now-2018.

Etude has always made a bevy of delicious wines, with their Cabernet Sauvignons their highest rated and most promising. Etude makes a bunch of Pinot Noirs, and I went through them, from different areas I generally don’t cover. Their 1,500-acre ranch, which is the origin for a number of their Pinot Noirs, is the Grace Benoist Ranch in Carneros. That’s where the Chardonnays came from as well." (WA)

"This likable white is made in a light vibrant style, utilizing only neutral oak. Apricot fuzz and mellow toast ride along a thick acid-driven road of green apple skin, melon and fig." (WE)

Winery Notes:
From six special acres in the heart of the Grace Benoist Ranch, our estate Chardonnay is iconic, representing all that is memorable about Carneros. Vibrant yet elegantly restrained, the wine is crafted as a showcase for the fruit, without malolactic fermentation and the lightest touch of oak. Aromas and flavors of classic Chardonnay signatures-including Bartlett pear and crisp green apple-are joined with lemon zest, citrus blossom and mineral notes. A solid acid backbone, with great structure and balance, are the hallmark of this wine each vintage.
