"Bright medium ruby. Inviting aromas of blackcurrant, dark raspberry, bitter chocolate, licorice and cedary French oak. Plush, velvety and sweet, with its shapely flavors of black fruits and chocolatey oak carrying through to a harmonious, unflagging finish featuring noble tannins that saturate the front teeth. Generous, sweet, broad wine with lovely mineral support contributing to an impression of balance and thrust. Seems clearly riper than the 2016 version, not to mention easier to taste today. My sample became more exotic with 48 hours in the recorked bottle without losing its grip." (VM)

"A decadent nose that remains on-point and focused with morello cherries, mulberry compote, dark chocolate, charcuterie and hazelnuts. While the nose may be big and the palate certainly bold with fleshy fruit, it carves out a neat structure, complete with firm tannins and a reserved yet long and fruit-forward finish. Drink in 2025." Winery Notes:
Grand Vin is our “First Label”. We like to introduce our Grand Vin as the Argentinean cousin of Château Léoville-Poyferré, 2nd Grand Cru Classé from Saint-Julien, our family’s most renowned Estate in Bordeaux, France. Grand Vin is an exceptional Bordeaux-style blend, with an impressive tannic structure from our best Malbec, rounded, balanced and completed with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot.
