"Combines intensity with richness, depth and refinement, highlighting zesty dark berry, fresh-turned earth, licorice and spice notes, held together by vibrant acidity. Drink now through 2028. 500 cases made. -JL" (WS)

"A blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon (from Stagecoach vineyard), 16% Merlot (from Blue Tooth vineyard in Yountville) and 6% Petit Verdot and aged for 24 months in French oak barrels, 70% new, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Curvature has a deep garnet-purple color and strides confidently out of the glass with very classy notions of fresh blackcurrants, black cherries and red plums plus an undercurrent of cigar box, menthol, bay leaves and truffles and a waft of pencil lead. Medium to full-bodied and concentrated, with loads of crunchy black and red fruits, it has a solid backbone of ripe, grainy tannins and bold freshness, finishing long with a minty kick.

A professional golfer since 1997, Cristie Kerr got into wine while touring the golfing world in the late 1990s. Taking the opportunity to visit wineries while traveling to wine-related areas such as Napa Valley, France and Australia strengthened her burgeoning love of wine. In May 2008, she visited Susan Pride Bryan, co-owner of Pride Mountain Vineyards, with a view of producing her own label and having the proceeds going to Breast Cancer research. The first blends of Curvature were born that night from the 2006 vintage. Since then, the Curvature label has been made by Sally Johnson, the winemaker from Pride Mountain. More recently, Cristie has developed her own label—called Kerr—with Helen Keplinger as the winemaker. This project has expanded to include a Napa Sauvignon Blanc and Sonoma Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Kerr’s goals of meticulous craftsmanship, small quantity and high quality begin with impressive vineyard sources and continue right through the no-compromises winemaking. “I’ve put my whole heart and soul into golf, and now I’ve done the same with wine,” Kerr told me. It is still early days for this burgeoning project, and yet the results are already very impressive." (WA)

"This is so sweet and it reminds me of lighter port wines. However, it is clean and well made, with a smooth texture and no hint of alcohol burn on the palate. Drink now with mature hard cheese." (JS)

Winery Notes:
The 2015 vintage was characterized by an ultra-light grape crop and sunny, warm and dry growing conditions. The wine lots produced from this vintage are phenomenally concentrated, intense and richly hued, while also possessing balance and richness. Beginning with this vintage, our Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from Stagecoach vineyards, which spans the Atlas Peak and Pritchard Hill AVAs, while our Merlot hails from the Blue Tooth vineyard in Yountville.

The wine expresses layers of dark and dense aromas including notes of cassis, blackberry, coffee, and toffee. On the palate, it is incredibly rich, featuring blue-black fruit and sweet, subtle oak flavors. The inherent richness of the wine is balanced by subtle acidity and integrated yet powerful tannins in the finish.
