"Very direct, with a beam of warmed cassis, blueberry and blackberry preserve flavors that carry through a long, licorice-infused finish. Built for the near term. Drink now through 2027. 13,750 cases made. -JM " (WS)

"Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 Paveil-de-Luze felt a little volatile on the nose when I tasted it, touches of mulberry and mulch developing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, moderate depth, classic in style and cleaner on the palate than on the nose. Hopefully it will gain more class during its bottle aging but at the moment, it needs to learn a few manners. Tasted September 2017." (WA)

"The 2015 Paveil de Luze is delicious. Super-ripe red cherry, tobacco, crushed flowers, licorice and mint are pushed forward in this decidedly ripe, forward Margaux Cur Bourgeois. It's nice to see how well the 2015 has developed in barrel. Readers should expect a sumptuous, racy style." (VM)

"Aromas of blueberries, tar and blackberries. Hints of cassis bush. Full body, firm and dusty tannins and a flavorful finish. Savory and fruity at the same time. Give it a year or two to soften. Try in 2020." (JS)

"This ripe, impressively textured wine is going to be rich and generous. Not just yet, because the tannins need to soften and integrate. That said, the blackberry fruits are juicy, with balanced acidity and a full texture. Drink this wine from 2022." (WE)
