"The 2015 Citran has a reticent nose, tightly wound at the moment with broody, earthy black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin shrouded by attractive red berry fruit, a dash of white pepper and impressive structure towards the fresh, saline finish. This is a well-crafted Citran that should end up at the top-end of my score band." (WA)

"The 2015 Citran is hearty and a bit rough around the edges, with good fruit intensity but four-square, chunky tannins that give the wine its distinctly rustic personality." (VM)

"Attractive red fruits and spiced-pastry aromas with cinnamon and some darker plum notes. The palate has a very supple and even-handed feel, where the tannins are ultra-polished and the red cherry-plum flavors hold impressively fresh into the finish. Best from 2022." (JS)

"Notes of strawberries, raspberries, toasted spice and hints of scorched earth all emerge from the 2015 Château Citran, and it's another 2015 Haut-Médoc that offers tons of charm. Medium-bodied, supple and polished, with fine tannin, drink it over the coming decade." (JD)

"89–91. Barrel Sample. This is a fresh wine, with dusty tannins and attractive tones of spicy black currant. It's already well balanced, with a smoky character from the judicious wood aging. -Roger Voss" (WE)

"Medium-bodied with more earth, cedar and tobacco leaf than fruit, the wine is correct, classic and a tad short in the finish. 689 Views Tasted Aug 24, 2020" (JL)
