ONE OF MANY AWESOME UNDER $20.00 BARGAINS FROM THIS FANTASTIC VINTAGE. WE RECOMMEND THIS HIGHLY!

"The 2015 Caronne Saint Gemme has a pleasant, estuarine-scented bouquet. Think about swigging a decent Cabernet out of mudflats just after the tide has gone out, the tang of salt in the air. The palate is medium-bodied and balanced, but the oak needs to be better integrated and leaves a bit too much powdered cocoa on the finish. Let's hope that this will be absorbed during élevage." (WA)

"The 2015 Caronne Ste Gemme is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot. It has a well defined, quite composed bouquet that unfurls with blackberry, tobacco and smoke aromas, your classic Haut-Médoc really. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannin, crisp acidity, quite fresh in the mouth with a brisk, lively finish, graphite lingering on the aftertaste. Excellent. Tasted at the Oenoconseil tasting room in Bordeaux." (VM)

"Some edgy lift across ripe, red plum and blackberries with attractive toasted spices. The palate has good density of flavor, firm yet fluid tannins and a long dark-cherry finish. Try from 2022. " (JS)

"Old school styled, medium bodied, bright, fresh, crisp, red berries are at the core of this wine, leaving you with a splash of cranberry in the endnote. 86 - 88 Pts" (JL)
