ONE OF MANY AWESOME UNDER $25.00 BARGAINS FROM THIS FANTASTIC VINTAGE. WE RECOMMEND THIS HIGHLY!

"Also from the Castillon region and a cellar selection of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Chateau Bellevue Cé Ma Cuvée has a more modern style with some obvious oak in its cassis, licorice, and barbecue smoke aromas and flavors. It’s medium-bodied, has ripe tannins, and terrific balance, but needs a year in bottle to come together. It’s an impressive wine." (JD)

"Smoked clear tar on the finish here, successful but the fruit is secondary to the smoked polish on the attack. An accomplished wine, well constructed. 70% Merlot 30% Cabernet Franc with 18 months in both American and French new oak. Winemaker Céline Lydoire is making a statement. Drink 2018-2028" - Decanter (April 2018)

"sexy fruit and oak forward style for the American consumer" (Wine and Spirits)

IMPRESSIVE 2015 RED BORDEAUX FOR $18.95 2015 CHATEAU BELLEVUE, CE MA CUVEE, CASTILLON COTES DE BORDEAUX

This 2015 red from the right bank Bordeaux Cotes de Castillon area is a special top of the line cuvee (batch) called CE NA CUVEE which is an abbreviation, by Celine Lydoire of her (the Chateau owner’s) two daughters. It is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc and aged for 18 months in new 400 liter oak barrels which adds to the wine a noticeable hint of pleasing oak adding to the wines richness.

This is a wine with definite fruity overtones of ripe currants as well as wild strawberries and blueberries. I must also say that I agree with the British wine critic who described this wine as “If it were from California I’d be all over it. Absolutely. But it’s also got Castillion limestone clarity. Buy a case. You won’t be sorry.” Oh he also notes that the price is $27 a bottle, a comment that illustrates what a local bargain it is at only. $18.95!

Winery Notes:
The wine is made with 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. Average age of the vines is 50 years old (everything is between 40 and 60 years old).

Cé Ma Cuvée is a tribute from Michel Lydoire to his 2 daughters:
Cé is for Céline. She is like the Merlot grape varietal. Pleasant and calm.
Ma is for Marina. She is like the Cabernet Franc grape varietal. Tough and with a lot of character.

The color is deep and inky.
The nose is spicy, fruity and oaky with some nice vanilla and coconut aromas.
The mouthfeel is complex, with ripe red and black fruit flavors. Some spiciness and integrated oak flavors.
