"Zesty and quite ripe, this offers medium-bodied dried cherry, licorice and pepper flavors. Drink now through 2021. 242,000 cases made.–TF " (WS)

"As it has in past vintages, Bogle has come up with a tasty, well-ripened Zin that ranks with the better buys to be found. It leads with nicely defined, moderately rich aromas of blackberries and cream and follows with like-minded flavors backed by a faint bit of heat. It tips the scales to the weighty side of things but does not drag its feet, and it has the structure to effortlessly keep and perhaps improve for another three or four years. Reviewed: September 2017" (CG)

"Another great value from Bogle, this wine is very polished and smooth. Blackberry and blueberry flavors abound on the full-bodied palate, with fine-grained tannins. There are no rough edges, just wonderful fruitiness and light salt-and-pepper spices." (WE)

Winery Notes:
For years, Bogle winemakers have sought out vines ranging in age from 60 to 80 years old for our Old Vine Zinfandel. These gnarly head-trained and dry farmed pioneers produce low yields of small, concentrated clusters of fruit, producing incredibly intense and flavorful wines.

Greeted with sun-ripened raspberries and freshly ground white peppercorns on the nose, this Zinfandel is saturated with flavors of red berries and cranberries. Laced with a hint of savory herb in the background, the traditional tones of juniper lead to a full and ripe finish, while 12 months of aging in two year old barrels wraps the wine in spicy oak and a touch of vanilla wafer.
