"Focused and floral, with pretty honeysuckle details to the ripe nectarine and peach flavors. There's a vibrant acidity and energy to this white, echoing on the finish. Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Marsanne and Picpoul Blanc. Drink now. 466 cases made. –MW " (WS)

"The 2015 Turbine White is a blend of 31% Viognier, 30% Grenache Blanc, 26% Roussanne, 12% Marsanne and 1% Picpoul Blanc. It offers a gorgeous perfume of honeyed apricots, allspice, star anise, lychees and rosewater. Medium to full-bodied with a pleasantly oily texture, it delivers mouth-filling perfumed fruit and lingering spicy flavors. It is this style that should age reasonably well and cellar for 5 to 7 years or more." (WA)

"The 2015 Turbine White is a tasty, white Rhône blend laced with pretty scents of apricot, jasmine and lightly tropical fruit. Drink this sleek, beautifully nuanced white over the next few years. Turbine White is a blend of 31% Viognier, 30% Grenache Blanc, 26% Rousanne, 12% Marsanne and 1% Picpoul." (VM)

"This is an unusual commingling of 31% Viognier, 30% Grenache Blanc, 26% Roussanne, 12% Marsanne and 1% Picpoul Blanc. Medium-bodied and lush, it's dark gold in color, with moderate acidity and a floral-accented taste of peach and honey that finishes fresh." (WE)

Winery Notes:
Two family-owned vineyards are the source for our Turbine White. Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne are grown at Landa Vineyard located in the eastern foothills in the Sonoma Valley appellation. The Viognier adds floral aromatics while the Marsanne is a beautiful blending wine adding mid-palate rich-ness along with acidity. Roussanne contributes aromatics and elegance. Grenache Blanc and Picpoul Blanc are grown nearby at Snow Vineyard. The Grenache Blanc adds long length and balanced alcohol to the blend, with rich notes of citrus and herbs, while the Picpoul Blanc, which translates to “lip stinger,” is a great complement to these other Rhône-style varietals bringing a touch of tropical lushness combined with crisp, mineral acids and spiciness. The blend for the 2015 vintage is 31% Viognier, 30% Grenache Blanc, 26% Roussanne, 12% Marsanne and 1% Picpoul Blanc.

Complex aromas of citrus-llemon rind, tangerine and a perfect touch of pith-complement the floral backdrop of orange blossom. Layers of mouth-filling fruit knit together honey and spice notes, orange marmalade and a bit of fresh herb with balanced tension and an underlying toastiness.
