Winery Notes:
Alberto Conti’s Montepulciano d’Abruzzo boasts a deep purple color with bright ruby flashes. The nose is a rich mixture of red cherries, black cherries, and sweet spices. The combination of these vibrant aromas yields a unique and unmistakable bouquet. Its dry, yet velvety palate allows it to compliment a variety of Italian cuisine. It is aged in stainless steel.

The Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is obtained through a combination of ancient traditions and modern techniques of vinification that give the wine very fruity aromas and an intense red color. The harvest is completed by hand during the second week of October. The fermentation of the grapes takes place in stainless steel tanks at a constant temperature of 73-75° F. The skins are a fundamental element of this process because they are responsible for the wine’s color and texture. Consequently, at the conclusion of fermentation itself, the new Montepulciano has some time to rest on them for about 2-3 days before the malolactic fermentation completes thisprocess.
