"Black cherry and blackberry fruit emerges with a little air, allied to a lush texture. Reveals a light grain to the tannins, but overall this red is balanced and long. Best from 2018 through 2025. 450 cases made. -BS" (WS)

"A complex if distinctly somber nose displays notes of spice, dark currant, earth and plum. There is better richness and concentration to the suave middle weight flavors that exhibit a touch of bitter cherry on the ever-so-mildly edgy finish that will probably round off in time." (BH)

Winery Notes:
The red wines that come from the vineyards surrounding the picturesque town of Beaune remain relatively undiscovered compared to its smaller, more famous neighbours. For this reason Beaune Rouge still represents extremely good value for money whilst providing an appealing introduction to the red wines of the Cote de Beaune.

Our Beaune Rouge 2014 shows an intense ruby red colour. The nose is fruity and spicy with morello cherry, gingerbread and liquorice notes. The mouth is round, smooth and reveals black cherry and coffee aromas. Nice tanic persistancy.
