"Very tight and structured, making for a chewy entry, yet the stuffing is there amid the loamy earth and crushed rock flavors. This takes its time, but the black licorice and dark berry notes slowly rise to the surface. Best from 2020 through 2032. 1,000 cases made.–JL " (WS)

"The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon displays plenty of loamy soil notes, some underbrush, roasted herbs, a dense ruby/purple color, and copious quantities of blackcurrant and black cherry fruit. Drink it over the next 15 years." (WA)

"The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is super-refined, polished and articulate, with mid-weight structure and fine overall balance. Readers should expect a somewhat laid-back wine by Dalla Valle's standards. In 2014, the Cabernet Sauvignon is especially aromatic and nuanced. It should drink well with minimal cellaring." (VM)

Winery Notes:
This new vintage of our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is as smooth as silk. It shares similar tones and hues as the Maya, with vibrant fruit and spice aromas, and a dark black-purple color. The natural acidity of the vintage comes through, adding to the wine’s volume, while the softness of the tannins make it immediately appealing. In addition to the typical red and black fruit character, the wine is layere d with notes of chocolate, freshly cut thyme, and smoke. It is a subtle but hedonistic offering, and should delight for ten to fifteen years minimum.
