"Textbook, delivering a slight chewy edge to the black currant and blackberry paste flavors, which are laced with tobacco and bay notes, with an echo of warm stone at the very end. Drink now through 2020. 18,000 cases made. –JM " (WS)

"The 2014 Caronne Ste Gemme has a pretty bouquet with blackberry, raspberry coulis and cedar aromas, slightly Pauillac in style with moderate intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite crisp in the mouth if just missing a little depth. It is probably a wine for early drinking although I appreciate how this has gained a little sophistication during its élevage." (WA)

"Some sweet-tobacco character on the nose with hints of plums and berries. Medium body, fine tannins and a fresh finish. Solid wine this year from here. Drink now." (JS)

"The Nony-Borie family owns this vineyard whose history goes back to the 17th century. In this vintage, they have produced a ripely structured wine with some firm tannins and black currant fruits. With 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is firm with a dark core and concentrated acidity. Drink this wine from 2019." (WE)
