"Quite light in color, there is a red-cherry and strawberry base to the aroma of this bottling, which is laser-focused and redolent with scents of a morning hike through the chaparral, fresh with wild mint and sage. The palate starts round with strawberry, then tightens on cranberry and winds up on tart plum skins, all peppered with a grippy white sage spice and structure. -Matt Kettmann" (WE)

Winery Notes:
The nose on this bright garnet Pinot Noir is fresh on the nose, with aromas of crisp Alpine air, lingonberry and crushed black pepper. On the palate, the entry is smooth, with an evergreen quality and tart red fruit. The medium-bodied tannins are smooth and the finish is bright.

The grapes were harvested on August 30 at 23.6 brix. The grapes underwent a four day cold-soak with 1-3 punchdowns by hand daily. Once dry, the wine was pressed and put into French oak barrels (11% new) where it stayed for 15 months before being racked and bottled unfiltered in December 2015.
