"Showing even better from bottle than barrel, the 2013 White Ballard Canyon is a blend of 74% Roussanne and 26% Viognier that was raised all in neutral French oak. It's a serious white and offers lots of ripe white peach, buttered citrus, honeysuckle and brioche in a full-bodied, rich, concentrated and layered style. Despite the size, it's always fresh, lively and a joy to drink. This is a food wine to enjoy anytime over the coming 4-5 years.

This is another estate that employs Matt Dees as winemaker, with terrific success." (WA)

"The 2013 White Wine, Kimsey's Roussanne/Viognier blend, is laced with plenty of tropical fruit, orange blossom and honey. All of the Kimsey wines are rich, but the White Wine is also on the heavy and cloying side of things. While the reds here have been fabulous right off the bat, the white still needs work. The 2013 was quite a bit brighter a year ago. " (VM)

"From one of the young appellation's newer vineyards comes this blend of 74% Roussanne and 26% Viognier. Made in a slightly reductive style, it has sour aromas of orange rind, citrus pith and a touch of quinine. Lime skins and yogurt elements show on the palate, which is lifted by jasmine flowers and dried nectarine. -Matt Kettmann" (WE)

Winery Notes:
Inviting nose of beeswax, poached pear, kiwi and spiced walnuts. Silky with notes of pink grapefruit, white peach and sea salt. Sumptuous and seamless texture lifted by a vibrant and fresh push on the finish.
