"Plush and forward, with a core of creamed plum and warmed fig notes backed by a hint of baker's chocolate. Shows a little more heft than purity, but this will have fans. Drink now through 2017. 60,000 cases imported.–JM " (WS)

"From a challenging vintage, the 2013 Cotes du Rhone has turned out well. While it won't make me forget the 1985 (the first wine I bought by the case), it does show the silkiness of structure imparted by Guigal's extended élevage. It's medium in body, with cherry-berry fruit and hints of leather and garrigue. Bites of acid and tannin punctuate the finish, but overall, it's a charming wine to drink over the next few years." (WA)

"This has a wealth of raspberry fruit, bright cassis and hints of red licorice fruit. Raspberry and red plum flavors with hints of more savory earth and tobacco, too. Drink now." (JS)
